The Patagonia Men's R2 TechFace Jacket is a cold-weather crosslayer designed for active use in shifting mountain conditions, where warmth, breathability and mobility all need to work together. It builds on the feel of fleece, but adds greater abrasion resistance and light weather protection for more exposed use.
The R2 TechFace double-weave fabric is soft and warm against the skin without trapping excessive heat, making it well suited to cool starts, steady movement and changing temperatures. A durable water repellent finish made without intentionally added PFAS helps shed light moisture, while the face fabric is built for more durable performance than a traditional fleece layer.
A full-zip front, zippered chest pocket, two high handwarmer pockets and two interior drop-in pockets give it practical storage for days on the move. Harness- and pack-compatible pocket placement, low-bulk snag-resistant cuffs and partial hem binding help keep the jacket streamlined when layering or carrying gear.
