Mounts & Brackets
Mounts and brackets that secure jerry cans, gas bottles, spades, lights, antennas and more to your roof rack, platform or vehicle. Our range features Front Runner, with modular mounting hardware designed to bolt straight onto racks and platforms.
Mount heavy items like jerry cans and gas bottles low or near the centre of your roof platform, keep tools like spades and axes handy, and add brackets for lights and antennas. Pair them with tough cargo boxes and secure recovery board mounts for a complete setup.

Frequently asked questions about mounts and brackets
Is it safe to carry jerry cans on a roof rack?
It can be, if you use a purpose-built jerry can holder that locks the can in place and you stay within your roof's load limits. A full 20 litre jerry can is heavy, so roof-mounted fuel raises your centre of gravity; mounting cans on the side of a platform, a rear carrier or low on the vehicle is often better. Always use approved fuel containers and check local rules for carrying fuel.
Can I mount a gas bottle on my roof rack?
Gas bottle holders let you mount an LPG bottle securely on a rack, platform or rear carrier, keeping it outside the vehicle, which is safer than carrying it inside. Mount it upright where possible, use a holder sized to your bottle, and make sure the valve is protected and turned off while driving. Check the bottle's test date and your local rules for transporting gas.
What are side mount brackets for?
Side mount brackets attach to the edge of a roof platform, letting you hang items vertically along the side, such as jerry cans, gas bottles, recovery boards, tables or lights. This keeps the top of the rack free for bigger gear, and puts heavier items lower and easier to reach. They are a simple way to add carrying capacity without cluttering the platform surface.
How do I mount a light bar to a roof rack?
Most racks and platforms accept light bar brackets that bolt to the front edge or crossbar, positioning the light bar correctly and reducing vibration. Choose brackets designed for your rack and light size, wire the lights properly with a relay, fuse and switch, and aim them correctly. Check road rules for using auxiliary driving lights, as they must be switched off for oncoming traffic.
Will I need special tools to fit rack mounts?
Most modular rack mounts bolt on with standard spanners, hex keys or the hardware supplied, using slots or channels built into the rack. Check the fitting instructions and hardware list before you start, and use thread locker on bolts that may vibrate loose. Re-check all mounts after your first trip, particularly after corrugated or rough roads, where vibration can loosen fittings.
How do I stop mounted gear rattling?
Rattles usually come from loose bolts, metal-on-metal contact or items moving in their holders. Tighten bolts to the right torque, use the rubber pads or spacers supplied, and add thread locker to bolts prone to loosening. Make sure items like jerry cans and spades are clamped firmly in their holders. Checking mounts regularly is the best way to stop rattles becoming broken fittings.
