Can the TD Black rod range get any better? Introducing the next generation of TD Black. More responsive, more sensitive. The 21 TD BLACK range is the best yet, incorporating Daiwa’s Next Gen. X45 blank technology. Utilised in the bottom half of each rod blank, this increases torsional stiffness whilst reducing blank diameter and weight. The result of this is a rod that’s more responsive, casts further, and has increased sensitivity. As has become a staple of Daiwa rods in this price point, HVF Nanoplus graphite is used to make not only a lighter weight rod blank, but a much stronger blank as well. 

The advancements don’t stop there. A new Air Sensor reel seat has been used which is 40% lighter than a traditional reel seat design and helps maintain a balanced overall setup when paired with a correctly matched reel. Fuji Alconite guides adorn the blank and provide anglers with trouble-free performance.

HVF Nanoplus
Through the use of nano resin control technology in the blank construction process, Nanoplus allows for increased graphite density to be achieved within a graphite rod blank.

3DX
3DX supports the lower power section of the rod by knitting densely packed carbon fibres in 3 directions to achieve a six wrap rectangular weave. Power through the blank under load is distributed evenly in all directions allowing it to maintain its profile and form. This process confines the rod's power to the lower section of the rod, increases power, eliminates blank twist and collapse, all the while reducing angler fatigue.

X45
Developed to eliminate blank twist and increase power, X45 features a Bias Wrap Construction, left/right 45 degree carbon weave within the blank. X45 radically improves rod strength and durability by eliminating twist and preventing the blank from losing its round form. The elimination of this twist allows for a lighter, stronger and more powerful and sensitive rod.

V-Joint
Bias construction within the ferrule allows it to flex with the rod, eliminating the weak, unbending spot caused by ordinary ferrules. The result of this revolutionary technology is a multi-piece blank that matches the performance of one-piece blanks in flex, power and responsiveness.

Air Sensor Reel Seat

Fuji SiC Ring
SiC has been the gold standard of guide ring material for over 20 years. Super hard, light, and highly polished and smooth, SiC guides are an excellent dissipater of heat making them ideal for light drags and/or big fish.
