The Patagonia Black Hole Duffel 70L is the leader in the mid-size duffle offering from Patagonia. The 70L size is that crowd favourite as it provides the perfect balance between size and your ability to easily transport. Perfect for gearheads, the Black Hole® Duffel 70L easily swallows a week’s worth of stuff and is made with 100% recycled body fabric, lining and webbing. The 70L Duffle from Patagonia features ripstop material, easy zip side pockets and an easy-to-use top zip for quick access.

- Made from lightweight yet extremely durable, 100% recycled polyester ripstop with a TPU-film laminate to create a fabric that’s weather-resistant, abrasion-resistant and highly packable; lined with 100% recycled polyester with a tough polyurethane coating
- Top zipper allows bag to open wide for quick access to the entire main compartment; when empty, duffel stuffs into its own pocket for compact, self-contained storage
- Padded, removable shoulder straps let you carry the Black Hole® Duffel like a backpack and can be detached when not in use; reinforced haul handles withstand overzealous baggage handlers
- Pairs with Black Hole® Cubes - Roughly fits up to four Black Hole® Cubes - 14L in the bottom of the duffel, with room for extra layers or gear on top
- A zippered side pocket can be reached from the outside or inside of the bag; a mesh interior lid pocket keeps essentials organized and close at hand
- Padded base protects the contents of the duffel from rough terrain and hard knocks
- Exterior daisy chains are sturdy and reinforced and provide myriad lashing options for extra gear

Recycled Nylon
True to the ethos of the company Patagonia has been using recycled polyester in their garments for 20 years, although for an unknown reason, nylon is more difficult to recycle than polyester. It has taken years of research, development, and testing but Patagonia has finally found some recycled nylon fibres that are suitable for apparel. Some of the recycled nylon they use comes from post-industrial waste fibre, yarn collected from a spinning factory, and waste from the weaving mills that can be processed into reusable nylon fibre. They're diligently searching for a success story with recycled nylon. The challenge lies ahead of them, and they're committed to discovering the best methods to recycle nylon fibre, but it appears this evolution will take many years.
