QUICK-DRYING SUN HAT WITH THREE-WAY COVERAGE
The Patagonia Caped Merganzer Hat is built for long sessions on the water and full days in the sun, combining breathable, quick-drying performance with adaptable coverage. Its cape can be worn three different ways to balance sun protection and airflow, while an adjustable rear cord helps keep the fit secure and comfortable.
The 100% recycled polyester stretch-ripstop fabric features a durable water repellent (DWR) finish made without intentionally added PFAS to shed light moisture, along with 40+ UPF sun protection. A wider-than-average floating brim adds coverage and uses 3 mm EVA foam so it can float if it ends up in the water.
A lightweight internal sweatband uses miDori™ bioSoft for added wicking and softness, while the brim rope doubles as a chin strap for windy conditions or unexpected swims. The hat weighs just 74 g, is made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory and uses bluesign® approved fabrics.
