Product Description

Maximum torque. Maximum capacity. Built for the biggest fish on Earth.

The Daiwa 25 Saltiga 25000-P stands at the very top of Daiwa’s heavy-duty offshore lineup, purpose-built for anglers who target the largest and strongest fish in the ocean. Featuring an immense spool, ultra-torque Power-gear ratio, and 30 kg of smooth ATD Tough Drag, this reel delivers relentless cranking power and durability in extreme saltwater conditions. When chasing dogtooth tuna, giant trevally, or marlin in deep bluewater, the Saltiga 25000-P gives you the brute strength, line capacity, and refined engineering needed to stay in control from hook-set to boat-side.

Why the Daiwa 25 Saltiga 25000-P?

  • Power-Gear Ratio (4.4 : 1): Lower gearing delivers exceptional torque for deep-water jigging, heavy drag applications, and sustained offshore fights.
  • Enormous Line Capacity: Deep spool holds up to PE 12 / 300 m, perfect for long drops, blistering runs, and deep-structure battles.
  • 30 kg ATD Tough Drag: Delivers smooth, progressive resistance under load to control high-powered fish without failure.
  • Monocoque Body Strength: One-piece aluminum frame minimises flex, maximising gear alignment and cranking efficiency under extreme pressure.
  • Magsealed Protection: Prevents saltwater intrusion, ensuring silky rotation and long-term reliability in harsh offshore environments.
  • Powerdrive Architecture: Oversized precision gears for consistent torque and longevity when hauling heavy braid and big metal jigs.

For the angler who refuses to back down, the Saltiga 25000-P is the ultimate expression of strength, endurance, and control. It’s not just built for big fish, it’s built for record breakers.

POWERDRIVE ENGINE

Experience raw strength redefined with the POWERDRIVE ENGINE body unit. Featuring an OVERSIZED POWER DIGIGEAR and POWER ROLLER OSCILLATION system, it delivers unmatched winding power, smoothness and durability.

POWERDRIVE ENGINE
OVERSIZED POWER DIGIGEAR

SIZE THAT COMMANDS PERFORMANCE
Built with G1 duralumin for exceptional durability, the MONOCOQUE BODY design accommodates a larger, thicker gear—10% larger and 6% thicker than the previous model. Precisely engineered gear teeth enhance drive efficiency, while minimal deflection ensures stable, consistent meshing. This reduces power loss, providing smooth and effortless winding performance.

OVERSIZED POWER DIGIGEAR
ROLLER POWER OSCILLATION

SMOOTH UNDER PRESSURE
The redesigned two-ball bearing pillar support system enhances oscillation efficiency by 20%, ensuring smooth, responsive, and powerful winding, even under heavy loads. Frictional resistance is significantly reduced, providing reliable performance and ultimate control when tackling the strain of the largest fish in the ocean.

ROLLER POWER OSCILLATION
TOUGH LINE ROLLER SYSTEM

The redesigned TOUGH LINE ROLLER SYSTEM is enlarged to endure repeated heavy loads, and the updated design better integrates the screw with the bail arm. Removing joints at high-stress points enhances rigidity and durability around the line roller. The new line roller, optimised for PE braided lines, reduces sliding resistance by approximately 3%.

TOUGH LINE ROLLER SYSTEM
POWERDRIVE ROTOR

POWER MEETS PRECISION
The new POWERDRIVE ROTOR is engineered for strength and efficiency. Crafted to handle the heaviest loads, this rotor delivers superior stability, allowing anglers to pull in the largest of fish with ease. The unique shape, which appears as though it was cut from a sphere, maintains low inertia and has an increased rigidity of 7%. The POWERDRIVE ROTOR ensures that each turn of the handle translates into a smoother, more powerful retrieve, even under extreme pressure.

TOUGH LINE ROLLER SYSTEM
CRANK POWER BAIL

ALWAYS IN CONTROL
The new crank-shaped design directs the line smoothly to the line roller without fail. The redesigned shape and spring mechanism enhance opening and closing angles, preventing unintentional bail movement. This improvement significantly enhances line feeding to the roller, especially during jigging and while the line is tensioned.

CRANK POWER BAIL
DRD DRAG SYSTEM

This is used for Models 18000 and above. Drags that use carbon washers are highly durable, but DRD takes it to another level with a new drag mechanism designed to target larger fish. With eight metal rollers on a single metal plate, DRD controls the loss of drag force caused by frictional heat. It is smooth under pressure and is 5x times more durable.

DRD DRAG SYSTEM
ATD TOUGH DRAG SYSTEM

This is used for Models 14000 and below. The ATD TOUGH DRAG delivers exceptional drag strength and smoothness. The large carbon drag stack provides anglers with the ultimate in smooth performance and reliability.

MONOCOQUE BODY

RIGID ONE-PIECE BODY.
DAIWA’s “LC-ABS SW” technology enhances power and rigidity. The spool’s upper section is optimised with a two-step taper toward the spool ring, minimising friction for smoother line release. Its narrow width prevents tangling, even during the final stages of casting with less line remaining. This design ensures smooth casting with thick lines and improves casting distance by approximately 2%, providing anglers with an improved casting experience.

  • Daiwa 25 Saltiga 25000-P (G) ultra-heavy-duty offshore spinning reel
  • Protective reel pouch & documentation pack
  • Official Daiwa warranty & registration card

  • After saltwater use, lightly rinse with fresh water and dry. Avoid pressure-washing the rotor/bail area.
  • Back off drag after trips to preserve the carbon stack.
  • Periodically grease line roller and handle knob bearings; service as required to maintain Magsealed performance.

What fishing styles suit the 25000-P?

Designed for extreme offshore fishing, giant trevally, bluefin and yellowfin tuna, dogtooth, and marlin. Ideal for heavy vertical jigging, deep-drop live-baiting, and long-range battles where torque and capacity are critical.

How does the 25000-P differ from the 20000-P?

The 25000-P features a slightly larger body and spool for additional line capacity (PE 12 / 300 m vs PE 10 / 300 m) and enhanced power output under sustained load. Both share the same 4.4 : 1 Power-gear ratio, but the 25000-P is tuned for maximum deep-water torque.

What line setup do you recommend?

Use PE 10–12 braid with a 130–180 lb fluorocarbon leader. The extra spool depth makes it ideal for long fights or fishing in deep current zones.

Is it suitable for topwater casting?

While primarily a deep-water and power-jigging reel, skilled anglers may use it for oversized poppers and stickbaits where weight balance and massive line recovery are advantageous.

How do I maintain the 25000-P?

After each trip, lightly rinse with freshwater and dry. The Magsealed system protects internal components, but periodic inspection and lubrication will keep performance at its peak.

Where can I purchase the Daiwa 25 Saltiga 25000-P (G)?
