About Nalgene
Nalgene began as a maker of plastic laboratory equipment in Rochester, New York, in 1949. In the 1970s, scientists started taking the lab's tough, leakproof bottles with them on camping trips, and the company noticed. Nalgene soon made a bottle for the outdoors, and the wide mouth Nalgene went on to become one of the most recognisable pieces of outdoor gear in the world.
The design has stayed simple: a sturdy, leakproof bottle with a captive lid that will not get lost, measurement markings on the side and a mouth wide enough for ice cubes and easy cleaning. Nalgene bottles are BPA free and built to be used for years.
