BaitJunkie Jig Heads have been spent two and a half years in R&D, and they are now available! Kris Hickson, a longtime Daiwa angler, and the product development team at Daiwa Australia collaborated on the design, which was then field tested in New Zealand. BaitJunkie Jigheads have special features that improve performance and ease of use on the water. It all starts with the hook, and BaitJunkie Jig Heads are constructed with premium BKK hooks and Daiwa's SaqSas hook coating, a super-slippery Teflon-like coating that boosts the penetrating force of the hook point and results in a higher hook up rate. Bait Junkie Jig Heads are available in a 2X strong BKK heavy wire and come in a range of weights and sizes to cover a variety of salt and freshwater species.
The first thing that stands out is Daiwa's completely original bait keeper. A design that went through over 25 different prototypes over the course of 18 months. The aim? To eliminate the irritating occurrence of your soft plastic being pulled down over the keeper and balling up into a twisted mess. This baitkeeper eleveates the experience of fishing with Daiwa's stretchy ELASTOMAX material fromused in their Bait Junkie soft plastics - making an extraordinarily effective softbaiting combination. The BaitJunkie Jig Head's head shape is mostly cylindrical, with a flat back for optimal clean rigging and a flattened "chin" that, when combined with Daiwa's buoyant ELASTOMAX material, delivers a "tail up" posture when your bait comes to rest on the bottom, even in very deep waters with hard or uneven surfaces.
Even the packaging has been thoughtfully designed to provide ease and of use with a long-term storage solution. New jig heads should always be kept away from damp tackle boxes where rust can destroy hooks before they've even been used. BaitJunkie Jig Heads come in a resealable zip lock bag to prevent unnecessary corrosion. The sticker which indicates weight and size is also easily removable and can be re-attached to a tackle box or storage tray for easy identification when you’re carrying a box full of jig heads in your boat or bag.
