The Jig Star Phantom PE4-8 Overhead Acid Wrap Jig Rod 5'7" is purpose-built for the angler who is preparing for a dogfight & requires the ultimate in rod technology. The Jigstar Phantom is a Powerful 5’7″ rod with great butt power and a light, fast tip putting the angler in control when the fish wants to take it all from you. Paired perfectly with a Shimano Ocea Jigger 4000, Accurate Obsidian 600 or the popular Daiwa Saltiga LD 55JP, if you are going to war don't turn up with anything else!

The requirements for the Phantom was to develop an exceptional rod for jigging for Dogtooth Tuna as well as a rod to double up as an outstanding live or dead bait rod for many species. The tip not only works lighter jigs but transmits those pre-bite panic vibrations from live baits early enough to prepare the angler for the impending chaos. The longer rod length allows easier maneuvering around the bow, gunnels and transom. The Phantom has been 3 years in the making. It has involved hardcore Dogtooth Tuna sessions as well as multiple trips to the 3 Kings with different jiggers until we were happy with it’s design. The blank uses High-Performance Graphite from Toray® of Japan with advanced Nano technology.
