Built specifically for the New Zealand market and designed with the harsh coastal environment in mind, the new Saltist SJ 200H is tailor made for those looking for a midsized baitcasting reel that is well equipped to target trophy sized fish. A precision designed solid aluminium frame and gear side plate is where it all begins. This provides the perfect platform from which to integrate Daiwa’s advanced gear design – Digigear II. And when combined with the new Air Rotation system the result is a reel that is unparalleled for smoothness and gear precision.

Leveraging off this solid base platform the Saltist SJ 200H incorporates Daiwa’s UTD drag system giving it the ability to generate heavy-duty drag pressure while retaining silky smooth line release. This is supported with an extra-long power handle and EVA knob to provide cranking power, balance, and control.
