The Hoka Mafate 5 is a plush-cushioned trail running shoe built for mileage chasers tackling long, technical trail efforts, with a neutral stability platform and a higher bed of soft cushioning for a forgiving impact and ride.
Reinforced MetaRocker Rocker Integrity Technology delivers a steady, balanced ride over uneven terrain, while a dual-density midsole with a super critical foam top layer combines a soft, springy feel underfoot with impact-absorbing foam near the sole.
A stretchy, patent-pending dynamic vamp and warp knit upper with anti-fray treatment work with an optional ankle gaiter to keep trail debris out, and aggressive Vibram Megagrip traction lugs ground the ride on rugged surfaces. At 286 g with an 8 mm heel-to-toe drop, the Mafate 5 is built for technical trail.
