LIGHT PACKABLE GORE-TEX SHELL JACKET FOR HIKING
The Beta SL Jacket is Arc'teryx's lightest Beta shell, designed as a light, packable outer layer for hikers who need reliable waterproof, windproof and breathable protection in mountain conditions. Weighing just 340 g, it packs down small enough to carry as backup protection on longer days, then pulls on quickly the moment the weather turns.
Its PFC-free GORE-TEX ePE membrane is laminated to a bio-based nylon face fabric made with fibres derived from plants, delivering long-lasting weatherproof performance with a reduced carbon footprint. A GORE C-KNIT backer keeps the inner face light, soft and comfortable against the skin, while an FC0-DWR durable water repellent finish helps the outer fabric shed moisture.
A helmet-compatible StormHood gives full coverage without impacting visibility, pit zippers allow quick venting on the move, and two zippered hand pockets plus an internal chest pocket keep essentials secure. Adjustable Velcro cuffs seal out the weather, articulated patterning supports unrestricted movement, and a RECCO reflector adds a layer of safety should search and rescue ever be needed.
