The Black Diamond Storm 500-R is engineered for epics in all conditions, delivering 500 lumens of maximum output from a robust IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof housing. Completely sealed and tested to operate up to 1 metre underwater for 30 minutes with no maintenance required after submersion, it is the headlamp you reach for when conditions are at their worst.

Powered by the BD 2400 Li-ion rechargeable battery charged via micro-USB, the Storm 500-R offers regulated constant light output for consistent performance across the battery's charge cycle. PowerTap Technology provides instant access to maximum brightness with a single touch, while a six-setting three-LED battery meter keeps runtime tracking simple. Brightness Memory retains your last-used setting every time you power on.

Three coloured night vision modes, peripheral white lighting and a full suite of proximity, distance, dimming and strobe modes make the Storm 500-R a complete lighting solution for technical alpine pursuits. A sustainably made Repreve recycled elastic headband and a compact ergonomic body complete a headlamp built without compromise.
