The X-Rap® CountDown refines Rapala’s classic “CountDown®” method so you can hit suspended fish at a precise depth, cast after cast. Built for NZ estuaries and inshore missions, this sinking minnow swims with a strong rolling action on the retrieve and flutters enticingly on the drop. Flat sides throw a hard flash to call fish from distance, while the uniform construction delivers a consistent sink rate—about 30% faster than the original CD—for repeatable presentations in current or wind. Finished with X-Style detail and 3D holographic eyes, hand-tuned and tank-tested, and armed with VMC® black-nickel trebles for confident hook-ups when the bite window is tight.
