The new 2020 TD Hyper 661HB Heavy Overhead Boat Rod takes value and performance to the next level courtesy of new Air Sensor (SVF Carbon) reel seats, a revised grip design, and a new grey cosmetic. Light, powerful, and designed for ultimate strength and performance this is the spinning and baitcast series that delivers unrivalled value. At the very core of the TD Hyper is Daiwa's HVF Nanoplus technology. HVF Nanoplus combines precise resin control with unidirectional graphite fibre to produce a blank with maximum graphite density and a light responsive action. Blank performance is further enhanced courtesy of X45, by eliminating twist and preventing the blank from losing its round form, X45 allows a lighter a small diameter blank to be made, and lighter more dynamic rod to be created.
Lightweight Fuji Concept O guides help the blank to maintain its action, while Fuji Aluminium Oxide inserts provide superior casting performance and line management. Next generation comfort and control is delivered through new ergonomically designed grips and the integration of Air Sensor reel seats. This results in reduced weight while maximising balance, feel, and sensitivity. Combining Daiwa advanced blank design with outstanding value the TD Hyper series is built to perform.
HVF Nanoplus
Through the use of nano resin control technology in the blank construction process, Nanoplus allows for increased graphite density to be achieved within a graphite rod blank.
X45
Developed to eliminate blank twist and increase power, X45 features a Bias Wrap Construction, left/right 45 degree carbon weave within the blank. X45 radically improves rod strength and durability by eliminating twist and preventing the blank from losing its round form. The elimination of this twist allows for a lighter, stronger and more powerful and sensitive rod.
Split Grip
A spilt rear grip that has an exposed blank section between the reel seat and the end of the rod.
