Aiflo Fly Line Technologies
For almost seven decades, fly lines have predominantly been crafted from PVC, a naturally rigid plastic necessitating plasticisers for functionality. However, these plasticisers are not integral to PVC lines. Upon production, PVC begins to deteriorate, leaching plasticisers into the environment and posing risks to both anglers and aquatic ecosystems. Over time, PVC lines become prone to cracking and failure. Moreover, as PVC decomposes, it releases Dioxins, hazardous bioaccumulating toxins. Consequently, recycling PVC lines safely is nearly impossible. That's why Airflo opts out of PVC altogether. Instead, they manufacture their lines from Polyurethane—a stable, inert, and fully recyclable material. Free from plasticisers, Polyurethane boasts exceptional durability, surpassing PVC's longevity.
